Strolio - your personal AI walking guide

Going on a trip, or want to learn more about the place where you live?

I’m building Strolio, a walking guide app that creates personalized routes and tells you stories about the places around you as you explore. The idea is to make a city feel less like a checklist of attractions and more like a guided walk through history, architecture, food, and local context.

I’m looking for beta testers who can try it in real walking situations and share feedback on:

- route quality

- stop selection

- story usefulness

- confusing parts of the app

- anything that feels slow, awkward, or missing

It should be useful both when traveling and when rediscovering your own city.

You can try Strolio here: https://getstrolio.com - the beta is free (I'm giving free AI credits for new users).

[Beta] I built a walking companion for exploring cities without overplanning

Hi, I’m Alex.

I built Strolio, a mobile app for people who like exploring cities on foot without planning every stop in advance.

I’ve tested it myself in a few cities, and now I’m looking for beta testers in different places.

The idea is simple: you tell it how much time you have and what kind of walk you want.

Example:

“I have 90 minutes nearby. I want architecture, hidden stories, and a food stop.”

Strolio creates a walking route from your location, tells short stories as you move, suggests things to notice between stops, and lets you ask questions about what you see.

I’m especially looking for feedback on:

- whether the route feels useful

- whether the stories are interesting or too generic

- whether the app feels useful during a real walk

- what would make the local details feel trustworthy

It’s free during beta. I’ll put the link in comments.
