Strange bladder resistance

I self-catheterize every two days. I've been doing this for years, but over the past year I get resistance in the bladder AFTER urine starts to flow. Post cystoscopy, my urologist says that the resistance is ALL in the urethra. Any ideas on how I can drain from the bladder using a catheter WITHOUT the catheter going all the way through to the bladder?

Hemorrhagic bladder infection

For those of you who have been self-cathing for years, how did you deal with a chronic UTI?

I have an antibiotic resistant bladder infection with awful inflammation. Sometimes I have to pee every hour. I've been dealing with this since September. The bladder pain is awful. I have a cystoscopy scheduled for July 31st. I'm wondering if it's acceptable that I'm not being given a long-term regimen of low-dose antibiotics. I still work, but I'm thankful I have an understanding and accommodating boss. For those of you who went through the same thing, what helped you turn a corner? Urethroplasty surgeries and Optilime are not options for me unfortunately and don't address the infection and inflammation.
