Neck cracking by itself almost 20-40 times a day

Hey everyone,
I’m curious if anyone else with AS experiences frequent, loud cracking or popping in their neck.
For me, it feels like pressure builds up at the base of my head/neck every so often, and turning or gently tilting my head causes a sharp pop or a series of "Rice Krispies" crunching sounds. Sometimes it gives a temporary sense of relief or releases stiffness, but other times it feels like things are constantly catching or resetting every few minutes. Especially when I keep my posture wrong.
Is this a common thing with cervical spine involvement or muscle tightness in AS? Does anyone else deal with this daily, and has anything (PT, gentle stretching, warm heat, biologics) actually helped tone it down?
Appreciate any shared experiences or advice!

Constant neck cracking (40+ times/day)

Hey everyone,
I'm a 32-year-old guy working a physically demanding job, and over the past few months I’ve developed a cluster of neck symptoms that are driving me crazy. I wanted to post here to see if anyone has experienced something similar, what your diagnosis ended up being, and what actually helped you manage or fix it.

At its peak, my neck was clicking/popping 45–50 times a day, especially when moving my head from looking down to looking up (extension). It often feels like there’s a trapped "air bubble" or immense pressure in my cervical spine that constantly wants to pop.
I get this dull, thin ache at the base of my skull (ense area) that radiates up the back and around the sides/temples of my head.
I am planning to see a specialist (ortho/neuro/PT) to get a proper neck MRI done soon to check for cervical disc herniation or nerve root compression.

Has anyone had this exact combo of high-frequency popping + occipital headaches. For those who do physical labor, what adjustments or equipment (like temporary neck braces, lifting tweaks, or specific PT exercises) actually saved your neck while working?
Did targeted physical therapy helped you?

Looking for a Book Club in Rapid City

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to join a book/reading club in Rapid City. If you’re part of a book club that’s looking for new members, or if you know of any local groups, I’d appreciate any recommendations. I’ve seen a few references to library and bookstore clubs or maybe the Mines around town, but I’m not sure which ones are currently active.

Thanks in advance

Hey everyone,

I’ve been in the Hills for about 6 years and want to get back into playing with people again this summer. I’m 32,M, been playing about 10 years—little rusty, but ready to shake it off.

I play electric, acoustic, bass, and some keys/synth.

Looking for a chill vibe—blues, soul, acoustic, retro stuff. Nothing too heavy.

Hoping to find other experienced players to jam a couple hours a week, low pressure. If it clicks, maybe play some local gigs down the line.

If you’re around Rapid City and interested, hit me up—tell me what you play and what you’re into.
