Hype me up for some sort of crafting/building/sim/colony/farming game, please
Hello! Right of the bat I want to say I already have over 1000h in games like: Rimworld, Stardew Valley, various Anno, Crusader Kings, Stellaris and some more.
So, I've been searching for some new world to build a life in, along the same vibes like previously mentioned games.
You know, something where you get to be whoever you want, both building some place to live just for yourself or bigger group, doing some farming, hunting, exploring, socializing with virtual people and coming up with your own story. I would especially enjoy it if there is some sort of trading mechanics, so that I can sell the fruits of my hard labor, some sort of robust leveling/upgrading system, and some sort of interesting world and lore to explore.
But, I would love if instead of just recommending some title, you could try to sell me on it/hype it up for me, to help me decide, because everything seems appealing but then I can't stick with it.
For example, I played Elin for like two hours, and it seemed like there is not much going on in there. I was just building a grass hut all this time. Died few times to some blobs. Similarly I also tried Medieval Dynasty, Aska, Bellwright, Space haven, fields of mistria, timberborn, age of wonders, and probably few more. I gave Victoria 3 like over 4h, but never understood what am I doing 😅
So, I guess, I am not only asking for recommendations, but also maybe something to help me stick with one title for more than two hours, and attempt to get invested.
I feel like I just dont give those games enough time to teach me mechanics, so that I can spread my wings of imagination while feeling like a proper inhabitant of the world who understands wtf is going on around me.
Thank you.
