The guest on tommorrows pod is probably Vietor, right?

Might be a dumb question, and apologies for this in advance, but given the comments made in a certain interview this week, it logically follows that the guest that Tim mentioned will be on tomorrow's episode is likely to Tommy Vietor, right? Or am I completely off base here? I'd be interested in hearing other people's theories on this

In defense of Sam Stein

I know our favorite Managing Editor Sam Stein has been subject to some significant criticism as of late when he is in front of the camera, and it's not lost on me that there are a lot of people who are not fans of him (and I can understand why). I just wanted to say, I used to follow Sam Stein's work when he was with POLITICO, and I started following The Bulwark because he joined. I find him to be funny, insightful, and a strong member of The Bulwark crew/cast. I know I am probably in the minority here and this is likely an unpopular opinion, but Sam, I just wanted you to know that there are some fans of yours out there.

Edit: to be clear, to my knowledge I don't think anyone at The Bulwark has been particularly critical of Sam, it's mostly people online criticizing him. I do know that he once mentioned that he looked at the subreddit once and saw that people were harshing on him, and I wanted to change that to some extent if I can.

What's up with Donut Podcasts?

I saw today someone posted on the donut podcasts IG story a goodbye message, does anyone know specifically what that is in reference to? I have been out of the loop on Donut media stuff for a while now

Hypothetical: If Trump lost the 2024 election, what would The Bulwark look like?

A painful hypothetical to consider, but if Trump didn't win the 2024 election what would The Bulwark look like now? I don't think Trump losing would be the end of The Bulwark, despite the founding principle being Anti-Trump, I think the publication has done a good job of branching out to more mainstream political topics. Yet, as a regular listener of the Flagship podcast, it seems undeniable that Trump's second term has fundamentally affected the direction of the publication. What do folks think it would look like if he hadn't won?

Edit: Because enough people mentioned it, I find thinking about a universe where Trump doesn't win the 2024 election to be painful because that's not a universe I get to live in. Probably a poor choice of words on my part
