TLDR
2 weeks on 10 mg with moderate improvements but still a rough time
Hey guys,
I’m back on Vortioxetine after a year off so I can’t quite remember how things went last time, just that it agreed way better with me than Sertraline and escitalopram. I got way better after a short stint on Vortioxetine and haven’t required it again until now.
My psychiatrist gave me the go-ahead to self-commence if my depressive symptoms came back as they tend to do over winter - and they have.
2 weeks ago I started on 5 mg to ramp up to 10 mg and felt almost immediately better within a couple of days of moving to 10 mg, likely due to the increased serotonin levels bouncing around. No major side effects at all, minor nausea day 1-3 However, last few days I’ve woken up with a blueness and pit in my stomach again. I know days are different even for non-depressed people but nothing has changed in life to explain the return of the low mood/emptiness/psychomotor slowing
Wondering if 15 mg and 20 mg is safe for me to bump up to myself as last time I only went up to 10 mg and was OK. Got an appointment booked with psychiatrist in 2 weeks as he’s on leave. Feel like the next two weeks will be unbearable and I just want to feel better ASAP. I miss laughing.
Hello cornea reshapers,
Will I be able to find lens-suitable saline in Bali, Indonesia, preferably preservative free? What about peroxide? Please drop the names of good optical offices/addresses there if you know!
(I am Indonesian so don’t need to be English-speaking offices)
Context:
I’m travelling to Bali from Australia soon with only carry-on luggage (100 mL liquid limit). I’ve not been able to find travel-size of lens peroxide for sale in Melbourne. I usually use AOSept or ClearCare plus.
I had my large peroxide confiscated at MEL last year travelling to NZ despite explaining that it was a medical liquid and it was difficult to find peroxide in NZ in travel quantities so I’d like to avoid that happening again… I have a small bottle of Menicare I’ll bring as emergency but it stings a LOT as I’m allergic to preservatives and it’s a last resort. Or I’ll rinse extremely throughly with saline.
Or I can decant my peroxide into 100 mL container?? But I would really prefer NOT doing that.
Also addendum question - is IV grade 0.9% sterile saline suitable for CL use in a pinch?
