I love LOVE Hexagons. And the first thing I thought when I heard it was HOLY PINK FLOYD, kids! I realized after several more listens that yes, Matt has a David Gilmore-esque tone in his guitar in the intro portion, but it’s really Dom’s drums that brought me to a Floyd place. I specifically heard Time from Dark Side of the Moon, appropriately. Dom’s fills are super similar to Nick’s, and the tones of the tom toms are also almost identical. I’ve been a huge Muse fan for well over 20 years, and a Floyd fan for 40, so I’m a very happy girl! I feel like I read something a few years back, maybe here, that they had discovered Pink Floyd rather recently, but I may be misremembering.
