What to know before going to the Mystic Lake Amphitheater

You can find a video review of the Amp on Facebook and Instagram at givemethemike.

BASICS
🎶 Live Nation operates the venue. It is not run by Mystic Lake Casino or the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community.
🎶 The Amp is not at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel. That is 4 miles away. They offer a free park-and-ride for every Amp show. They also will host pre-parties for every concert. Parking at Mystic Lake gets you quick access to County Road 42.
🎶 The venue is accessible from Highway 169 and MN 101. Parking in four of their lots is free. Pricing for the reserved lot varies depending on the show.
🎶 Remember where you parked your car. The lots don’t have signage for aisles and finding your vehicle in a surface lot might be a challenge (it was for us).
🎶 There is accessible parking at the north (premium) and east gates. If you go to Entrance A, tell staff you have a state issued accessible parking placcard.
🎶 They have a clear bag policy.
🎶 Seats with obstructed views are in sections 203-204 and 208. General admission ticketholders on The Lawn shouldn't have an issue.

ONCE YOU’RE INSIDE
🎶 There’s a big ramp from the main entrance, and you’ll need to climb that up to get to main seating unless you go in through the premium entrance. There are elevators.
🎶 Concert goers face west, so you’ll be facing the sun. It’ll make for great photos, but make sure to bring sunglasses.
🎶 If you go for general admission seating on The Lawn, you can rent a chair or blanket. Those are available online before your show. You cannot bring your own lawn chair, but you can bring a small to medium sized blanket.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE
🍕 A 10” pepperoni pizza is $22.
🐓 Chicken tendies and fries are $19.
🌭 A hot dog is $10.
🍺 A Busch Light is $16.50.
🍻Canned cocktails are $23. An aperol spritz is $24.
🍔 You can bring your own food in if it’s in a clear Ziploc bag.
💧You can bring in factory-sealed water or an empty water bottle. There are water refill stations around the venue.
💵 There is a $5 “value beer” on the menu at concession stands. It sounds like it is Rolling Rock. There is supposedly a $2 hot dog, but from comments received, you have to ask for it and it doesn’t show up on menu monitors. I could not find them when I was there.

ENJOYING THE SHOW
🎶 The sound quality was great. You can hear from anywhere.
🎶 There are plenty of bathrooms. There should not be an issue waiting in line.
🍸 If you upgrade your tickets, you can access The Backyard. It offers a full dining experience.

The Amp has 40 shows planned this summer, and tickets for many start at $30.
