Does any of you experience emotions differently from before TRE?

Hey! I am 14 months in and have experienced two stressful episodes lately. They cause me to feel anxious, agitated, and hyper alert. However, the tension has taken more time to go away, I had a hard time to sleep, and felt a bit desperate. An anxiety attack, I guess. In the past, I would easily shut it down and move on. In this case, what I notice was that I felt the tension and sensations more vividly throughout my body, it seems they moved more freely, even though it was a negative experience. Also, I was more resilient in the situation, I didn't take any radical measure, I only let it unfold.

Anyway, I noticed I have felt things differently. Now I am ok, more calm and relaxed. I would like to know if you have experienced something similar. Would appreciate your sharing!

Is there a gesture component to your rumination?

Hi all! I am 11 months in TRE. Lately, I have been experiencing something interesting: rumination starts in my mind and then goes to the body as a gesticulation, lip movement, verbalization or a facial expression. These physical actions are brief because once I notice them, I stop and let them go. Also, I realized the rumination I have now is more expressed in the body than it used to be. In the past, I recall being stuck in the mind for hours until I found a mental resolution. Now it seems it's divided into body and mind, and I break the pattern more easily.

I am wondering if anyone relates to this.

I feel less triggered by songs, movies, people's names, etc.

It is been several days since I have noticed I am less susceptible to feeling bad from listening to specific songs, certain movies, city names, people's names, ex's names, etc.

The reason for this is simple: I used to associate negative feelings with those images, melodies, words, etc. Feeling nostalgic was such a hell for me.

As I do TRE, memories come to surface, alongside songs, people and scenes that marked moments of my life and would cause me to feel horrible.

But now it seems they are less triggering, which make me not to avoid getting in touch with them as I used to.

I have actually enjoyed revisiting some of them with a renewed emotional state.

I wonder if anyone relates to this.

Lack of motivation

I am almost 10 months in TRE. I did a session of five minutes this week on Monday. Since then, I am tired, with some occasional crying. Also, in the middle of the week I ended up seeing adult content and did MO. I don't know if that effected my state.

Am I accessing another layer? I started thawing around December of 2025 and I've been on a challenging journey ever since.

I need to study for an exam and today I had a hard time doing.

Has anyone been through something similar?

Persistent mental scene

I don't remember when this started, but I have a repetitive scene in my head where I have an argument with my father and say to him everything he did wrong. This scene is followed by anger, agitation, and fear. Also, I also see myself acting this way towards my mom, telling her she was wrong for accepting my father's wrongdoings.

Today I am going through this process. However, it is more controllable. I felt a ton of anger earlier, and some tears streamed from my eyes, but I was able to separate myself from this scene. Right now, as I am typing this, I just left another mental round of this.

My father was distant, indifferent, and neglectful. That certainly affected how I relate to people and myself. I am undoing many patterns, and this mental scene of vengeance seems to be fading.

Anyways, would like to share this and se if anyone relate to it.
