Does my pulse need to be this high?

My whole life my resting pulse has been in the 40s and 50s with no issues. Since implantation nearly 2 months ago, my lowest setting is now 60bpm. I don't understand why it would need to be so high when the 40s and 50s were sufficient for the first 40 years. I am pacing 98% of the time now, but feel no difference compared to before implantation. The only thing that has improved is that I've stopped waking up to pee during the night. Any insights?

Dizziness when standing, bending over and crouching

I've been on SSRIs for over 15 years and Escitalopram for the last 8ish years. Over the last year I've started getting dizzy when standing up, bending over, crouching and exertion. Saw the cardiologist and he decided I needed a pacemaker, but I've had ZERO improvement. It seems orthostatic hypertension can be a long term side effect of Escitalopram use. I've been off work for over 6 months from this problem and am really trying to figure out what is going on. Anyone else experience this or have any more info?

Questioning treatment

I had a biotronik PM installed 4 weeks ago for symptomatic bradycardia. Since implantation, I have experienced no change. I am still feeling lightheaded a lot, still almost fainting when going from sitting or crouching to standing, still feeling lightheaded from exertion. I have ALWAYS had a low resting heart rate (38-42 bpm), but the symptoms became more frequent to the point of going off work for the last 6 months. I saw my cardiologist today and he said I should increase my water and salt intake. He didn't specify how much. My question is, why wasn't this ruled out before implantation? Was this a massive oversight? And if this corrects my symptoms, do I even need my pacemaker?

Update: increased salt and water intake for 2 days, BP got really high. No improvement at all. Went back to normal salt amounts. He also told me to start running if I want, so I did and I felt very faint, had to sit down for 5 mins.

I was told I have symptomatic bradycardia and 10 days ago, got a dual lead medtronic pacemaker. Everything is healing nicely and the PM tech said it is functioning as it should. But the problem is that I'm still having near fainting experiences, which was the whole point of getting my PM. I am beyond frustrated and incredibly stressed out because I've been off work for 5 months waiting for the procedure, and now my savings are gone and will have lost out on 6 months wages. I've tried calling the nurse, tech, and went in for adjustments already and was told everything is fine. But it isn't. I'm feeling zero improvements and have the same symptoms as before. Is it possible this was all for nothing? What else could be wrong with me?
