Hey everyone,

I’m running a Fairphone 6 (stock Android 16, no Google login) and struggling to get Android Auto to work reliably in my car. The issue is that Android Auto briefly shows the correct interface (with navigation and music), but then disappears after just a few seconds.

What I’ve tried:

- USB connection works flawlessly with other Android phones (so it’s not the cable, car, or USB port).

- Bluetooth isn’t the issue (since I’m using USB).

- Audio from the phone works fine (calls, music streaming, etc.), but the display doesn’t show musicapp/navigation app.

Notice the icon in the bottom left corner, it does not switch the viewscreen...

- I don’t want to log into a Google account (privacy concerns).

Questions:

• Has anyone here solved this without Google login?
• Is there an alternative app (e.g., CarStream, OpenAuto Pro) that can replace Android Auto?
• Is there a Fairphone 6 setting blocking Android Auto?
