Really disappointing another council has decided to scrap rentable e-bikes and scooters.

abc.net.auClifton Hill level crossing
Unsure if this is the exact crossing that was damaged, but recently the level crossing just south of Clifton Hill station had their sound reduced after locals complained about the noise. (even though the crossing was there first, but whatever.
If this is the crossing that was damaged, will they reinstate the original volume? Will safety win over NIMBYs?

Tonight Stephen Jolly and his gang voted to ban lime bikes from Yarra council, after banning e-scooters. Although Yarra council is small, it seems like it's getting all it's bike lanes and infrastructure ripped out and now e-bikes too, which are really useful last-mile connectors to public transport.
Stephen Jolly is stain on Melbourne.

premier.vic.gov.auTram tone announcement change
Was just riding an E class when a tone played before an automated announcement. Usually, (some) pre-recorded announcements have a chime that goes something like din dinn, din dinnnnn.
This one I've never heard before and it sounded more like an airport boarding call: do doo doooo doooooo, before advising bikes can't be taken on trams.
The new jingle sounded more pleasant, if not a little harder to hear and a little more generic. Has anyone heard this yet?
Need help mounting strip
I moved into a place that had some tacky LED strip that I've taken down to put an omniglow strip in. The old LED strip was in a metal bracket that is like 1mm too small for the Omniglow to fit in.
So I tried mounting it first with the adhesive on the back of the strip, but that didn't work. I tried cleaning the plain wood before using VHB 3m adhesive, but this just falls off as well. After googling, it appears that adhesive doesn't really work with plain wood.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can mount my strip?
Saw this old sticker at Regent station. Love that the new Transport Victoria website is the same this one from how many ever years ago: https://imgur.com/a/VC3vj6n
