Delay Botox or go for it? Side effects question

Hi,

I currently have a Botox injection planned for next Tuesday with Lucy Hicklin in London (50 units). I have given myself 2 weeks and 2 days where I have no social activities or work afterwards.

However, after that 2 week period I’m meant to be going on holiday to New York where I’ll be socialising a lot.

Then, a month after that I’m starting an internship at a big company where I’ll need to impress.

The other option is I delay the surgery to September where I’ll have 2.5 weeks to recover before starting my university again. But at university there will be less pressure and I can eat all meals alone etc.

I’m mainly worried about the uncontrollable burps as I’m a very socially anxious person but also the slow swallow.

Any advice? Thanks in advance

Controlling burps post-Botox

Hi,

I have a Botox appointment booked next week and I’m staring to get a bit hesitant. I am booked in for 50 units with Lucy Hicklin in London.

However, I’m going to visit my friend 2 weeks after the appointment and I have a pretty important internship a month after the appointment.

Will the burps be so uncontrollable that I should wait until after the internship?

Social embarrassment post-Botox

Was just wondering how uncontrollable the burps tend to be after the procedure. I’m just nervous because I’m starting my internship a month after the procedure and wondered how much it’s impacted people’s lives in terms of it being uncontrollable and embarrassing?
