color combo ideas?

specifically need ideas for that light teal color and brown. also would super appreciate any ideas of how to use colors you don't like as much. i love pink, purple, blue, and neutrals and tend to make alot with just those. anything else is mostly untouched until i'm making a rainbow

made my second peyote cuff!

the six row was so much easier than the three row lol. i'm so excited though because i measured string before making them so now i know exactly how much to i need and can make patterns for the right number of beads

if anyone is curious for the smaller cuff is 24 beads per row and i cut 60 inches of string and had almost 10 cut off at the end. for the bigger cuff it's 26 beads per row and i cut almost 100 inches which wasn't quite enough, i think i added another 10 inches or so.

beadtin color comparisons

i only want to get one between burgundy, cranberry, and maroon. same with grey pearl or medium silver pearl. if anyone has all three reds i would love to see them together. i'm worried silver pearl might look more white than silver, so i wonder if the grey pearl looks silver enough to pass?

how do i start this panel

i'm trying to do a vertical peyote stitch, ideally even because that's all i've done before. i just can't figure out where to start😭 like either way i start with a long white row on the top or bottom right? does it matter which i start with?

(also sorry i feel like i'm asking questions here every other day, sometimes i just need things spelled out)

need a bit of advice

so i'm planning my first panel because an album i love is reaching its first anniversary soon and alot of fans are doing stuff for it. i made two patterns and was excited because i used pony bead lacing (the i'm a tube stuff) on a ladder cuff and it was the perfect thickness to not go flimsy, but today it cracked a bead in half and i learned that's common. i don't want that to happen to my panel but ladder looks so much better then peyote to me. does the peyote look good at all? also if anyone knows if there is any good string that would make a ladder not be flimsy it would be a lifesaver! and if anyone has even a rough estimate of how long my string needs to be please share. if i do peyote i wouldn't have so many rows on the bottom i just couldn't be bothered to remove them

what stitch is this?

hi, so i found this cuff i want to make and can't tell what stitch it's meant to be, or if it doesn't matter which would be best? i only know ladder and peyote so i'm kinda limited lol

new kandi

these are my first successful cuffs, both are a little bigger than i would like but the flowers couldn't be smaller without changing the pattern and the ladder is just extra stretchy. i hope i can make it a little less spaced out next time but i didn't even have a pattern i just went with what i grabbed out of the bag

my first even peyote

i made a lil baby just to practice but it lowkey fits as a ring. if there's a way to hide the knot at the top please share but yay! i feel so much potential 😊

made my first cuff, please tell me how i messed up

the very messed up blue bead was the first one going up to the second row. none of the string looks tangled or anything. i can't tell if i missed a step or if it's this bad from not using stretch cord? i don't have alot of it so i didn't want to waste it on a first practice cuff, which is also why there's no pattern.

also are the gaps supposed to be this big? i'm hoping using good string will make things better lol

question for any disabled fans

hi so for context i have pretty extreme chronic pain and can't stand more than maybe five minutes at a time. i'm just wondering if anyone else with any sort of disability has had soundcheck and how that went for them? i'm going to the atlanta show and i've been to the venue before since being disabled and they're great about giving me a wheelchair to and from my section, but i'm not sure how soundcheck will go. i can't really stand in line and i definitely can't stand the whole soundcheck and i just wonder if i'd end up in a section on the side or a chair in the back of pit or something. which would suck not being able to see.

just wanted to see if anyone else had similar needs and what your experience has been? was also hoping to trade bracelets and stuff but not sure when i'd be able to as i can't walk around the concourse or anything. i'm just nervous lol sorry this is so long

made my first necklacesi

i'm so excited! i made these for a concert i'm going to in six days (5 seconds of summer my favs i'm gonna cry). i'm a little nervous i'll look silly wearing both of these since they don't match but it's literally the everyone's a star tour so i'm very on theme i'd say. used a rubberish tube lacing instead of my usual elastic cord so they feel much more sturdy. eep i'm just so happy! happy crafting ⭐️🫶🏼

bead colors/switching brands

hi so i'm pretty new to kandi and until now i've gotten all my beads and string at hobby lobby. i want to buy elsewhere for obvious reasons, and have been looking at beadtin. i'm wondering if the colors will be the same or similar enough to mix or if i should keep them seperate? pink beads shown as example

also looking for different string, i use this fabric string which i love more than elastic since it feels more secure. is the string on beadtin good or should i find something else?

last question lol, but on different letter beads when they say #mm, is that the size of the bead or the size of the letter on the bead? or something else?

will very much appreciate any advice 🫶🏼
