5sos were incredible as usual, but the crowd was an absolute nightmare. I've been to many shows but never one like that. It was clear they were mostly there for Jason Derulo and then stuck around to see 5sos. The drunkenness was next level, the rudeness was next level, people were shoving just because they wanted to (their words, not mine), and I got so many weird looks because I knew all the words to all the songs. I was very bummed Everyone's a Star was cut, but it also makes sense considering nobody knew songs that were older than 2015 unless it was Youngblood.

Also to the three guys who decided to hold my shoulders down so they could grope me without me being able to get away- I hope you die. You'll never see this though, since there's absolutely no way you were there to see 5sos.

5sos, if you're lurking- please don't play Cowboys again. I'm not from the area and will never ever go back, but there has to be a better venue for you in Calgary that isn't a hellish experience for fans.

I saw them open for 1D in 2014 and then saw them again in 2015. I stopped following their music for a while after around 2017.. but they were in my city today so I went because I used to be a HUGE fan and thought it would be fun! The show was amazing and I loved the new stuff they played.. BUT..

I assumed they’d play these 2 songs since these were SOOOOO popular when I saw them before but they didn’t really play much old stuff. Is there a reason why?

I’d love to see these songs live again along with pretty much all of their debut album especially Kiss Me Kiss Me (one of my fav songs) but I’m wondering if they play them sometimes and if not, why?

Edit: Tysm everyone for the info!! I didn’t know this was part of a tour or they released new music recently so this makes sense as to why!! I also didn’t know they didn’t like their older music much. I’m going to listen to the 4 new albums that I missed tomorrow and I’ve very excited, tonight was so fun and the stuff I heard was really good:)

I feel really bad because I’m no longer going to my 5sos show due to my health being bad right now. My friend flew half way across the country to come to go to our 7/7 show, and there was just a lot of stuff that added up to that and why I made the decision to pull out of going. I’m so devastated because this was planned for like a year when the tickets were on presale.

My parents are protective, especially my mom because I’m her only child, this friend is someone I met online and last year we decided to go to this particular show because it was close to where I live. But the last two days have been awful for me and I just feel so shitty for backing out and not going to something we’ve been waiting to go to for a year. Am I a shitty friend for not going because my parents were concerned and my physical health hasn’t been good the last two days? She spent so much money and I feel like absolute shit because I’ve never had to do that to someone before.

Thought this would be funny. Pretend to be a fake fan or rage bait fans !! Like, oh my gosh they’re basically a pop band pretending to be rock. (Mines rubbish but I’m sure you can come up with better ones !)

wondering if you guys think they'll have 5sos eas merch at cowboys tonight in calgary? it's not an official tour stop or anything plus its a festival so i'm leaning towards no merch but at the same time.. they're today's headliners and theyve never been to calg before afaik 😭😭 sooo confused and soooo curious

For my show, if my question gets picked, I wanna ask if I could have something as a late bday gift since I will have just turned 18 (my actual question that I am gonna submit is about bdays, being 18, and advice and then I would ask if I could have something at the end of it).

I was wondering if this is a long shot and if I just spare myself the trouble/embarrassment and not bother asking...

Question- if you get the barricade and have to go to the bathroom/get a drink, are you able to get back up to the barricade, especially if who you’re with is still up there?

yesterday was my first 5sos concert and i had the best time!!

i managed to get all the merch i wanted (plus a couple extra things). thank you to everyone who replied to my post about merch sizing. i got the grey zip up and i don’t think i’ll ever take it off lmao.

our secret song was red desert. i’m happy calum got the song he voted for! i didn’t vote since i would’ve been happy no matter what song won (teenage dirtbag, end up here, try hard, red desert) but i feel like i lowkey wanted red desert to win. it’s one of my favourites from calm. luke also said it was his favourite 4th of july and he gave vancouver the nickname: van cou cou. plus, seeing ashton wearing a canucks jersey made me so happy!

the concert went by so fast. it was like i blinked and it was over. i have ocd and a lot of anxiety, so i tried to focus on being in the moment and not worry about anything else and i feel like i failed. i spent way too much time looking at my phone. if you only count what i took of 5sos, i took 128 photos and videos. however, i only took 9 videos which means i took 119 photos. lots of the photos were taken while filming so 91 photos were taken while i wasn’t filming. i also hit the capture (not sure what it’s called) button twice every time i took a photo (part of my ocd), so if i didn’t do that, i would’ve only taken around 59 photos all together and around 45 photos taken that weren’t while filming. i was only supposed to take photos during certain times but every time they were on the side where our section was, i wanted to take photos. i would get my phone out a bit before i was gonna start filming just so it was ready and i found myself looking at my phone trying to decide how far to zoom in or something. i noticed it during the solo songs. mainly ashton’s. i found that my eyes kept darting between the stage and my phone screen. it probably didn’t help that i sat the whole concert (we were in the front row in our section and no one else stood up except for the 2 girls beside me, so i felt a little self conscious about standing which i know is dumb). i also kept getting distracted by everyone around me. but i’m going to try to not let all of that affect how i feel about the concert and not let it stop me from wearing the merch i bought and listening to their music. it might just take some time.

sorry for all of that. i just needed to get it out. it still doesn’t feel real. even during the concert, it didn’t feel like i was actually seeing 5sos.

anyway, thanks to everyone who reads this and has read my other posts. this is one of the nicest subs on here!

What the title says. Ive got tickets for grand rapids michigan already and im really considering getting tickets for the other date in michigan. It'd be my first time going to multiple stops of the same tour plus id probably have to go alone and it'd be my first solo concert. So im wondering if anyone who's already been could share any insight/opinion of if its worth it to go twice.

edit: so when talking about the secret song calum said he voted for red desert and it ended up being red desert (yes let’s give the man what he wants) and it was INCREDIBLE!! good if not better than how teenage dirtbag would have been!! their energy throughout the whole show was amazing and life will never be that good again ☹️
