Do you know of any great asynchronous cross-platform backgammon apps? My friends and I love Backgammon NJ, but we can’t play with Android friends.
I’ve read DailyGammon could be an answer, but I was hoping for an app. I’ll try DailyGammon out too though.
Anything else out there?
Has anyone purchased or used a Vido board? I was considering ArtGammon but the customs and transaction fees made it much more expensive. Vido has all that built into the cost. Any first hand experience you can share?
I’m looking to buy my first board. Looking for quality build with modern aesthetics in the $500 price range.

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of feedback on Vido, so that seems a bit risky to me. Also Serial Hobbyist’s review on the Vido pointed out there is no padding under the felt, so it seems like the playing surface would wear out faster which concerns me a bit.
Anything else I should consider? I just love the looks of the Vido which keeps me coming back to it.
Are there any good stores around or are they all the same? I feel like when I go to the stores outside grocery stores they have “deals” but I end up underwhelmed for what I got.
I know Jake’s Fireworks exists in Portage. Is that the spot to go to or is it no different?
