Runs and idles great but is noisy at idle. For sure a rattle type noise but not tinny. Almost like the sound of some atv batteries being clacked together. Runs smooth at all speeds but almost make me think its misfiring slightly. Maybe motor mounts? Maybe its normal? Seems like front half of the ski in origin. Ill try to get video this weekend. Sounds are hard to describe lol
I changed the pump bearings and noticed that while putting the prop nut/bolt on, if i tightened too much, the prop couldnt spin. So i backed it off a little and installed the pump. Now its not starting and is very hard to turn the flywheel by hand. Is it possible that its tightening itself? It has a needle thrust flat bearing on the back of the impeller. What should i do/check? The battery is low so im charging but hars to turn by hand.
Ripping around all over today and started hearing a noise coming from rear end. Not mine like usual but from the ski pump area i think. Only at 1/4 throttle.I cant find the words to describe it but it sounds like when someone runs round wood around the rim of a metal bowl or bell. Like a drawn out riiiing. Maybe whiring, whining or howling idk. One or two strands of seaweed in there. I can move the prop shaft just enough to make a noise maybe thats a clue? We had a blast but im worried itll get worse if i take it out again. Any help would be awesome! (Its not letting me post video :( ..)
