Ticci-Toby is dancing to the Caramelldansen song! And some thoughts about him.

(my animation yepp!)
Ticci-Toby made me dive into the depths of the internet, and I'm not letting go him anytime soon. As soon as I started drawing this animation (inspired by immersing myself in a new fandom and just wanting to draw some fun stuff. I really liked Ticci-Toby), I didn't even know about it until my friend stumbled upon this information and immediately informed me. I was upset and scared, and I started searching and digging. When I finished the animation, I dove in headfirst and I want to share what I've found out.
—I'm talking about the situation where "Ticci-Toby is no longer a part of the creepypasta fandom", which is... very strange?? Let's take it in order...
. . .
—Why did the author remove Ticci-Toby from the creepypasta fandom? (at least tried several times)⬇️
Kastoway (the author of Ticci-Toby) herself was dissatisfied with the mischaracterization of Toby. This refers to the fact that he was portrayed as a "cheerful psycho-idiot," or that his character was romanticized and softened, obscuring the fact that he had a range of mental illnesses/disorders. Mischaracterization is an unpleasant but inevitable aspect of all fandoms\for all characters in media. As many people as there are, so many opinions (=representations of characters, consequently). And let's not forget what fandom we're in and what the concept of fandom is. Creepypasta is full of scary stories and characters. Of course, in addition to serious creativity that only shows the dark side, there will also be humorous content created to make people laugh or feel cute. Everyone has their own way of seeing and portraying characters/stories/etc. Not everyone is able or willing to constantly show only the harsh side of a character and reveal the author's intentions.
—I will add one fact to the topic of mischaracterization: Kastoway herself was drawing funny drawings/comics with Ticci-Toby. Therefore, attempts to remove Ticci-Toby, explaining it with "mischaracterization", contradicts her.
(Hi everyone, I'm writing this post and i'm known as Vinyl! I have a hard time drawing something creepy because of my style, so I often draw something funny or cute. That doesn't mean I don't take things seriously. The Toby animation in the post is an example of my creations. Is the animation funny and cute? Yes! Does this mean that I consider Ticci-Toby to be a cute little thing and don't realize how severe his diagnoses are? Although I am aware of his character in the canon, I am physically unable to draw a dark and creepy character and masterfully convey all of his illnesses in my artwork. I am just expressing my affection for the character through my art, regardless of its quality, without aiming to fully capture the author's intentions. Wow, my goodness, what a heart-wrenching truth. really... oh my... you didn't even guess, did you??)
. . .
—Let's get back to the conversation. Even if you, as the author, have declared the character "dead" and left the fandom, it doesn't mean that people will immediately forget about him at your request. Ticci-Toby appeared a long time ago (2013, on DeviantArt!!!) and has taken root to the fullest. No matter how desperately Kastoway wants to eradicate Ticci-Toby from the creepypasta fandom, she won't succeed. ⬇️
There is a lot of content about Toby where he is a part of a creepypasta: games, comics, drawings, cosplays, etc. The words like "stop putting Ticci-Toby in a creepypasta, it's disrespectful to the author" or the claims that Kastoway has the right to sue for using her character sound absurd. No one can ever make people forget something on the internet, where every sneeze is preserved forever. The only question is whether anyone is interested in this "sneeze." In the case of Ticci-Toby, there are a lot of fans. By the way, after Toby was declared "dead" in 2014, he was brought back by fans in 2015. After this, the only question in my mind is: if you allow fans to change your decision once, what's stopping them from doing it again?
. . .
—When uploading things to the Internet, you should be prepared for various things: positive comments, new people, bullying, misunderstanding, arguments, and confusing situations. It's impossible to predict the consequences of your opinion or creativity. It may be possible to "disappear" from the Internet, but people will remember what you've done. Considering Kastoway's contribution, the original creepypasta character that many people love, it's not easy to simply "delete" Ticci-Toby. It won't be possible to rewrite the history. People continue to know about Ticci-Toby through creepypasta (I'm one of those people who had known about Ticci-Toby years ago from a creepypasta stuff). This cannot be changed. It's just internet, just piece of our reality.
—I didn't expect that I would be touched that deeply and write about it in such detail... Let it happen! That's how it is :)
Thank you to those who have read. I would love to read your opinions on this situation or to have a conversation. If I have made a mistake in any information or if you have anything to add, please let me know!!

Hoodie in a dumpster, filming himself on an empty roadway before being hit by a car driven by a Masky... oh.

I dunno how I came up with this idea, but it perfectly captures my state of mind after watching Marble Hornets to the end.

Tim Wright!!

In appearance, Tim is serious and collected, making attempts to help others. However, at times, he becomes frightened by the current situation and suddenly tries to get out of it. In short, he is contradictory.
//. / //. /
—🤝I am particularly drawn to such "contradictory" characters. I often find myself looking serious, cool, and composed on the outside, but on the inside, I feel like a scared, weak person who needs to get out of this situation as soon as possible. I liked him, soooo... Look, I've drawn him!!! :D
