Sandbox (Eight of Hearts ♥)
Name: Sandbox/ Eight of Hearts
Category: Hearts
Difficulty: Eight
Venue: Playground
Set-Up:
Max. Players: 5
Time Limit: 3 Minutes (5 Rounds)
Dealers: None
Game Details: The game takes place in a children's playground where there are many slides, swings, monkey bars, seesaws, and the like. There are 5 tombs just slightly raised above the ground via rope that is connected to a weighing scale. There are many mounds of rocks, minerals, ores, gemstones, and the like that can be mined. However, they are limited.
Pickaxes, shovels, sledgehammers, chisels, and buckets and sand buckets are scattered around the game venue.
Starting Condition: Players must claim a tomb of their own.
Rules:
• Players must mine the playground's rocks, minerals, ores, gemstones, and other earth that can be mined and deposit it directly into a large depression on the fixed top roof of their designated tomb within three minutes.
• The weight required to keep the tomb on the ground is 100kg. [No numerical values are displayed on or inside the tomb; players can only monitor their progress via a mechanical meter with a red line.]
• After a round, a voice announces on the phones that the required weight for tombs has increased. [The value only increases by 50kg, but players won't know that! The announcement only says the weight needed to keep the tomb on the ground increases]
• Before the 3-minute round timer expires, players must climb through a small mechanical hatch on the side of their tomb and confine themselves inside the hollow chamber. Otherwise, a swarm of insects will any players standing outside.
• If the tomb does not fulfill the required weight, it causes the tomb to be raised in air and resulting in both the player and the tomb being consumed by the swarm, resulting in a GAME OVER.
- It is GAME CLEAR if the players are able to survive all five rounds.
- It is GAME OVER if the players are consumed by the swarm of insects or any other causes.
[Note: Naturally, the mining mechanics of the game may steer the game towards Spades, but the game venue is a playground where these are artificially added. They are loose and can easily be mined with the tools provided to players!
+ The tomb and pulley system are indestructible.]
