I've noticed that this orb appears at the beginning of the lost sector and if you destroy it, the enemies get the buff they get in distortion events (they release tracking on orbs on death and such).
What is its purpose? Does it increase the rewards tier? Does it change the loot table?
Also, how do I know what the loot table is, I'd appreciate it if someone can link a source for all the weapons that drop from lost sectors on each planet.

This is important I have acrid hostage until I receive it, you have 24 hours or I make him use blight on his next run.
