Should I switch to CommandCode in place of OpenCode?
Last month I started with OpenCode Go as my AI subscription and I was very happy with it — especially since the latest DeepSeek Flash dropped. As a software engineer it helped me a lot, and I even started vibe coding and trying new things in my free time. I couldn't reach the limit at all.
But then the new DeepSeek Pro dropped and I started using it too much, and now I'm close to reaching the limit. So I started looking for a new subscription or better alternatives, and I found that CommandCode Go offers about 20% more requests when it comes to DeepSeek. I also found that two GOAT plans would be the best option — especially since DeepSeek is going to increase its prices soon.
However, I've heard about CommandCode's sketchy marketing tactics, and since it's fairly new I wanted your advice: is CommandCode good? Is it slow? Is it always down? Or do you have recommendations for better plans or subscriptions?
Is my job good enough?
Hello everyone,
So about six months ago I finished a freelancing project for a company I was referred to. They were happy with the results and decided to recruit me. The owner offered me 1200 DT + CIVP (only 150 DT for me since I'm lazy and still haven't done my equivalence), 3 days remote, a phone, a PC, and only light work on weekends if needed.
When I joined, there were only two other people besides me. One of them was the senior developer, and both of them had shares in the company, unlike me. The owner also told me that if things went well, I could become a shareholder in the future too.
Since I knew I was good (even though I only had freelancing experience and nothing really serious), I asked for a 150 DT increase. He refused and said he wanted to assess my potential first and then give me what I deserved. I needed the job, so I accepted anyway.
A few days after starting, I realized the reason they needed me was because the senior developer was actually working two jobs and wasn't fully available for this one. I started with small tasks, then gradually got bigger and bigger ones. Before long I was meeting with clients, doing estimations, planning projects, and basically handling everything.
At one point I even saved a project that was getting seriously delayed, and the owner gave me a small bonus for the work. We also won a big AI project that we'll be working on for the next few months.
Fast forward to now, I pretty much took over the role of that senior developer. I can handle everything on my own, and I only go to the office when a client is visiting or there's something important. Most of the time I work remotely. I usually work around 8 hours a day, sometimes more, sometimes it's relaxed, and occasionally I even work a bit on weekends.
Now, after 6 months, I honestly feel like I'm doing most of the heavy lifting when it comes to development, yet I'm still getting 1200 DT net, while the other two earn more than me and also have shares in the company. That makes it feel a little unfair.
At the same time, I know working mostly remotely is a big advantage, so maybe that balances things out a bit.
Do you think I should ask for a salary increase, or is this already a good offer for a software engineer with only 6 months of full-time experience? I'm curious what you guys think.
