Provider promised reimbursement, now they're ghosting me?

Hi there!

Any help is appreciated.

To keep it short, I recently did a little study and a first aid certificate to help me get a job. My provider promised to reimburse me and now for the last few weeks they don't respond to any emails or texts.

It adds up to a decent sum of money and I was really counting on them covering it. I have texts and emails of them confirming that they would, but I'm not really sure how to proceed.

What would you do?

Thanks.

Is it unethical to travel overseas during your paid parental leave period?

Curious to hear everyone's thoughts.

My employer offers paid parental leave for 3 months, and my partner and I are considering taking our baby overseas for a few weeks while I'm on leave.

The purpose of the leave would still be to care for and bond with our child, not to work remotely or anything like that.

I'm curious what people's views are. Do you think it's ethically fine to travel overseas while receiving employer-funded paid parental leave, or does it go against the spirit of the benefit?

Can any course count towards meeting my mutual obligations? Or only specific ones?

I’m thinking of enrolling in a Cert IV in Fitness (self-paced).

Has anyone had this or a similar course accepted by a job provider to count towards their mutual obligations?

Thank you!
