Packing books of unusual sizes can be so difficult, but putting this book in this box felt like a gift

I got this lithography when I was in Germany a while ago, and it had this poem and a handwritten note on its back. The handwritten signature matches that of the artist on the front of the picture. I was able to Google the poem easily, but the cursive is hard to decipher. Could anyone help me translate cursive, handwritten, german?
