[California] Do I re-open claim for unemployment or start a new claim?

So I was a part of a company-wide layoff back in October 2025, and I applied for unemployment.

It took a while to find a new job in the same field, but eventually got a freelancing contract with a company in February 2026.

This contract ended a day ago (July 1st).

And with that, I need to apply for unemployment benefits again.

My question is this:

Do i "re-open claim" or should I start a new claim for unemployment? Not sure what I'm supposed to do in this situation.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Can someone explain this from Season 2?

Just finished watching Season 2, and for the most part, I feel like I've figured out/understood most of plot and storyline. But there's one portion of it that I need a little help with.

Who exactly is Quentin (and his crew), and how is he affiliated with Greg?

I've gotten the whole "greg wants to kill Tanya" thing, Greg didn't want Portia there because of that etc.., but who is Quentin himself? Is he Greg's secret boyfriend, and it's simply just their scheme to kill Tanya to get the money? (ie..the picture of them in the house)

Also heard multiple times throughout the episodes that "Quentin isn't really rich"...and that he "isn't really Jacks uncle". But if he's not rich, how is he taking Tanya to all of these places? Jack even states in the last episode where he lets Portia go that "these are dangerous and powerful people" (or something to that extent)...So what is Jack's relationship to these people? Is he just a hired hand meant to help Quentin (in any way possible)? Or does he have some kind of other affiliation to them?

I'd love to get some clarity, as it's the only portion of Season 2 that I still haven't fully understood.
