Unemployment benefits about to run out-needing an extension
Hi, so my six months of unemployment benefits is about to run out. I have been applying for jobs and interviewing this entire time with no luck. I read that unemployment has to be bad in order to extend and when I compared to two years ago where I had friends who were unemployed for a year and got benefits for a whole year, The unemployment benefit is worse now than it was back then. Right now it’s about 5% unemployment rate in Washington versus back in 2024 It was 4.4%.
Has anyone called or had any luck with requesting an extension? I read that you should still be submitting your weekly claims and that they might send you money again. Any truth to that?
