I've noticed RAG systems aren't as far from traditional Data Engineering as people think.
Different storage/consumption layers, but same engineering challenges:
RAG feels like another branch of data pipelines.
Just the consumer is an LLM instead of a BI dashboard.
Thoughts: Will RAG become a DE specialization, or is AI Engineering a separate discipline?
