I actually love Hunter's PS1 model. Looks so huggable.

Hunter in the PS1 games always seemed to me as a goofy, dopey, somewhat awkward guy who would trip over a banana peel, forget basic things and do stupid stuff for the sake of it (he literally refused to give Spyro the orbs and made him do challenges just to get them), but at the same time he is not a complete fool. We see that he's pretty damn good athlete and great at various sports (damn you for that crystal challenge in Magma Cone!), it's just that he is not the brightest tool in the shed. He always had that "goofball protagonist sidekick" energy kinda like Goofy with Mickey and Donald, or Tigger from Winnie The Pooh. That's part of his original charm, no wonder Bianca fell in love with him. Seems like a wholesome guy you would love to hang out with, TO BE HONEST.

The Reignited version, while great, has made him lose that goofy charm and made him way hard to look "cool", he kinda has that "How do you do fellow kids" energy lol. Feels like that one guy in a modern world who is trying to live like he's in the 90s. While i certainly appreciate a lot of things Reignited did, i kinda think Hunter is the one who's lost part of his dopey charm. This model seems so stupid, aggressive, and huggable at the same time i can't lmao

Does anyone else think this scene is less intense in the manga?

In the anime it's pretty goddamn epic and emotional, possibly one of the best anime moments. Especially in the original Japanese version with that ominous music, the overall atmosphere on Namek with the thunderlights, Goku's rage slowly building up, his hair slowly turning yellow. He doesn't suddendly start screaming. It starts as pure calm fury, until HE finally screams and transforms. It literally shows you a pure hearted warrior about to become a brutal beast who's going to end that monster and avenge his race once and for all.

In the manga, the transformation happens in a span of few pages, BUT i understand that the manga is more limited and that it wouldn't have made sense to draw multiple panels of Goku getting angry. BUT at least the manga version compensates for being way faster, so Frieza gets his cheeks clapped in a brutal way. Once he turns SSJ Frieza can barely fight back, while the anime kept going and expanded the fight and made it seem more like they were equal in strength. Heck there was one filler scene that implied Goku fell into the lava and Porunga saved him, which made me go "Eh?".

I always thought this design of Mickey Mouse was more charming. Why did they change it?

It's very adorable, in my opinion. The black dot eyes make the difference. While he might be less expressive, i feel like that's a crucial part of his charm that his modern versions lost.

The best cartoons of Mickey Mouse are usually the ones where he has the black dot eyes. Think about Lonesome Ghosts, Thru the Mirror, Clock Watchers, Steamboat Willie, Magician Mickey and etc. All he others where he has "regular" eyes have always been quite boring and with very few funny gags, in my honest opinion. I think even Walt himself had realized that Mickey wasn't interesting anymore, as Donald Duck and Goofy had more cartoons than him in the later decades, and the Mickey cartoons that were there were often pretty mediocre, like Mickey Down Under. This permanent shift in his design marked the end of an era, IMO. NOT to mention, the 2013 cartoons, which brought back this classical design made him easily more funny, more unhinged and relatable rather than Mickey having no personality.

My opinion is that black dot eyes Mickey is easily more charming and more cute. In the black and white cartoons to me he was a fun and charming character. Very mischevious, very curious, and more "mouse" or animal like compared to modern Mickey. Tormenting other animals, desperately trying to win Minnie, often pulling out dirty tricks or starting a war against other animals.

Does anyone else think Crash is cool af as a main character?

I think Crash as a protagonist has got a lot of charm. He is not the classical hero, he's just a little freak of nature who spins and sends people away with his spin attack. To me he is a lovable, clumsy goof, with an heart of gold. He is not completely goofy or incapable of being serious, in fact when the situations call for it, he can be pretty damn serious and he even shows to have some street smarts. He is NOT braindead as most post ND games make him seem out to be, in fact we pretty much see he's pretty quick to adapt to the environment around him and he learns how to drive a fucking motorcycle, drive karts, pilot helicopters JUST for the occasion. Also i like how fearless he can be, in fact he is able to escape or fight things way bigger than him. I always thought there was some sort of hidden character development between the three games regarding his courage. It's not notable, or it may not even be intentional, but i kinda got it like this: In the first game, Crash was always nervous and constantly looking around, especially when he runs. In Crash 2 he is more chill but he still shows some of that paranoia in his idle animation if left for too long, then in 3 he is so goddamn chill, even when he's escaping in a prehistoric jungle.

I always found Crash, ahem, more cool than protagonists like Sonic or Mario. He doesn't need to hit cool poses, he doesn't need to do cool shit, Crash is just himself. Weird, goofy, awkward, a little crazy, but also fearless, heroic, adventurous, and badass at times (especially when he goes with the jetpack or the motorcycle).
