I’m a brand new to automotive painting, so I was spraying some practice sheet metal. On this sheet, I was on my 5th coat of clear (because I wanted to practice wet sanding it pretty heavily) and it ended up adding this big dull spot in the middle of the metal. I want to learn what I did wrong so I can improve. Was it because I was on my 5th coat of clear and things didn’t dry/stack right or is it a more application technique error on the 5th coat spray? I did feel I sprayed the last coat a little too close and too wet.
