Why does the doctor even need to regenerate? We all saw him die and get revived over and over again in Heaven Sent without changing his face.

A lot of unbelievers and former believers in the bible said they found Jesus teachings too hard and not worth following anymore (John 6:60-66). Now these people tend to say that they love Jesus teachings even though they reject his supernatural claims. Has the world changed to become more accepting

Now these people tend to say that they love Jesus teachings even though they reject his supernatural claims. Has the world changed to become more accepting of his teachings, or do these people now find it more worthwhile to lie about what they really think about his teachings?

There are a lot of time travel stories like Re:Zero and Summer Time Rendering in which it‘s implied the timeline won’t change unless the time traveler makes changes to variables. These kinds of stories make it seem like non-compatibilist free will does not exist. Are there any time travel stories in which it’s implied that the time traveler would change the timeline even if they didn’t make any changes to the variables?

It's similar to the thought experiment of what would happen if the universe was destroyed and rebooted with the same variables as the original universe. People who believe in non-compatibilist free will, and not determinism, will believe the history of the rebooted universe will be different.

And if you were to write a story in which it’s explicit early on that non-deterministic free will does not exist, how would you make it engaging to the audience? Futurama did a time travel episode in which the universe ended and was rebooted with the same variables, with the history of the new universe being roughly identical to the first one, but it was played off as a joke.
