A conversation with Nick from Saint Nick’s Display
I'm looking for the Santa Claus figurine (about 3-4 ft tall) my grandparents had in Nevada, Iowa. Is anyone familiar with such an item? I just wrote a book about vintage holiday blow molds and thought I'd put a notice in the back of the book asking if anyone has ever seen it. I'm desperate to find him!
Anyone have solid advice or thoughts on the effectiveness of the video book trailer and/or content marketing via your own website (blogs, etc). While both seem nice, wondering about the real effectiveness. If you had to rank your book marketing tactics, where would these two things land?

I'm working on a book about the history of blow molds, the collecting community, etc. If anyone is interested in contributing or being interviewed about your collection, please reach out. Thanks!
I invested a ton of money on a publishing course and they advised me to go into the Tai Chi for Seniors niche, which already seems saturated. I ask - let's say you do go down one of these paths - and it seems like the right niche at the time - isn't the bigger hurdle getting reviews for the book? I hear this all the time "launch velocity," etc - without a network of people in your personal life or trying to build an ARC on a site like StoryOrigin (the worst) or spamming Facebook groups, is there any other way to generate reviews aside from paid sites? It seems like the biggest challenge to KDP yet it's what many have few answers for.
