Found a friend

Stopped at the gas station about midnight last night to fill up and this guy was sitting by the dumpster. I couldn’t leave him behind, he’s so sweet. I know nothing about blow molds but I’m ready to jump in the rabbit hole with both feet!

It has been a bit since I had a blowmold find, but I picked up these three beauties at Goodwill for $20.

The big pumpkin candy bowl is from Mr. Christmas ($90!?), the Eric Nafobia tombstone is 2025 Target, and the vintage cat and pumpkin is an Empire piece in flawless condition and came with the original cord!

Both of the new pieces are battery powered, which is a no-go in Alaska (cold eats batteries). The pumpkin will get a standard blow mold light while the tombstone is going to get a blacklight spotlight because the paint is reactive.

Isn’t It Too Early?

These plastic big box store lawn decorations are not what I think of as blow molds but isn’t it too early for Halloween decorations?

Empire Kitty Cat candy pail

The handle suggests it's not very old, but I've had it for at least 15-20 years.

Blow mold cord replacement

I’m terrified of electrical fires and just bought a blow mold from 1969. Has anyone replaced their cord? Are there modern replacements? Yes, I’ve googled and I see replacements but the plugs still look outdated on those, so not sure if they’re any better.

A J RENZI CORP 5" Candy pail

I bought this off Ebay for $10, about 15 years ago. I live in Texas, but never saw these in my rounds at thrift shops.I doubt they were sold in Texas. The last pic is for size comparison.

Halloween candy pail - Igor

I bought this approximately 15 years ago at a local thrift shop for $1. It's difficult to read the stamped crown logo.

Pumpkin candy pail

This has no identifying marks. It's approximately 31 inches in diameter, 7 inches tall. I think the handles manner of attachment is unusual. Probably older than many of my other pumpkin pails.

Last Christmas

So, this is my friend's home. During Christmas, he dresses up as Santa and hands Candy Canes out to the kids and their families that drive by.
