Why do people always seem to warn that a rhinoplasty won’t change your life or how you see yourself

Why do people always seem to warn that a rhinoplasty won’t change your life or how you see yourself, but then there’s a ton of people who have had it done who say it’s done exactly that?

I am so insecure about my nose that I don’t see how fixing it wouldn’t make a big difference for me

Uk SMW salary

I have been a senior writer since January. Currently on 44k and feel underpaid - do you think moving companies to a 60k role is feasible? Hoping to do so in Jan 2027 when I’d have a year of SMW experience! BTW I am publications focused and remote. My next pay increase would only be £900 in Jan 2027

Breathing and exercise

Is it normal to need to breathe through your mouth when exercising? I thought a septorhino might improve this but in a consultation the surgeon said my septum is straight and not deviated at all. I can breathe through my nose at rest but if I’m on the stairmaster/ weight training I switch to mouth breathing and just wondering if this is actually just normal
I’m considering the surgery for aesthetic reasons but functional improvements would also be nice
