Any threat of some new music?
What is everyone here thinking about realistic chances of some new music next year? And not just another single they don’t promote for longer than a week, but a proper album. I know they’ve said in the past they think that albums are “outdated” which is obviously just mental, but it’s getting to the point now of reaching longer than the gap between Beacon and Gameshow.
They seem more energetic and enthusiastic now than they have for years, probably helped by getting gigs at massive arenas after years of smaller venues, and playing tracks like new houses gives me some hope the passion is still there, however was hoping they might’ve teased something on tour by now. It’s such a stark contrast to before the break - Handshake was played live two years before Beacon was released, yet there’s no threat of anything remotely similar happening in the current day.
Doesn’t help that most people, primarily the public, think the most recent music is dire, which I can see to some extend with KOS, however I genuinely rate False Alarm as a 9/10, just feels under appreciated.
Have seen them live in both London and Cardiff now and they’ve been immense both times, however it is sobering just how few people know any tunes outside of the Spotify top 10 list.
OH MY GOD I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS BAND BEFORE A FEW DAYS AGO BUT I HEARD "WHAT YOU KNOW" IN THE BACKGROUND OF A RANDOM YT COOKING SHORT AND OH MY GOD I FUCKING LOVE THEM SO MUCH. I'VE ONLY HEARD A HANDFUL OF SONGS FROM TOURIST HISTORY BUT EVERY SINGLE ONE SO FAR HAS BEEN BOTH AN ABSOLUTE BANGER AND GENUINELY BEAUTIFUL. I'VE HEARD "WHAT YOU KNOW", "I CAN TALK", "CIGARETTES IN THE THEATRE", "COME BACK HOME", AND "UNDERCOVER MARTYN" AND I FUCKING LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM
Anyone know what drum machine/samples they used on Touring History and Beacon?
Them drums sound so goooood
Just discovered Two Door Cinema Club
I just discovered Two Door Cinema Club and I am so so so happy. What exciting and beautiful music. My current favourite songs are “Something good can work“ and “Sun”. There’s still so much to discover, where should I start?
(Sorry for this random post, I just really wanted to share my joy with all of you, the long time fans.)
Anyone else feel that Alex is a bad stage presence?
I was looking back on videos I took from when I went to see them in London on the 26th June and while I had a load of fun and it was a once in a lifetime experience, I couldn’t help but notice Alex’s lack of energy. Like he literally just stands there and sings. There is no energy or passion like at all. I’m not expecting him to be like doing cartwheels around the stage and all but like especially compared to the supporting acts he was as still as a statue
