Just finished Gravity Circuit: confused on what happens with Nega
At the end of Gravity Circuit, Nega takes the Commander Circuit to ensure the robots on the planet stay online. After he does so, the Ark goes back on the ground and the Virus Army stops.
Why?
Nega told us that the Gravity Circuit copies the memories of its previous host and gives it to its new one. From Kai's complete lack of memory, we can assume it also deletes the host's previous memories, even if it failed to execute the copy command on its past host.
If these rules apply to the other Circuits, Nega should either 1. Receive Commander Circuit's memories and lose his own, where he would then probably follow Commander's objectives or 2. If the copy command had failed, be left with no memories and no idea how he got there connected to a giant spaceship.
Neither of these seem to entirely fit his actions at the end of the game, however I guess if you suddenly woke up with no memories and you're this giant spaceship in the air for some unknown reason and you're sending a bunch of robots to kill other robots for some unknown reason you may stop doing those things while you try to gain your bearings. So 2. is a possibility.
There's also the possibility that the Gravity Circuit only removed Kai's previous memories because the copy command had failed (and normally the host would keep their past memories along with the new ones), or that the other circuits/commander circuit specifically do not renove their hosts' previous memories. In the latter case, why does the Gravity Circuit do that specifically?
This is all to ask: what do you think happened with Nega at the end of the game?
Also, speaking of the copy command and memories, I am confused on how it works. Nega said the Gravity Circuit must have thought him dead because the copy command failed to execute. (Or I guess because any command failed to execute.) Seeing as Kai recieved no Gravity Circuit memories, this means the Circuit is not continuously running backups in case its host dies before it can execute the copy command.
So, when does the Gravity Circuit execute the command?? When its host is severely injured? Did Nega go from pretty much fine to absolutely no power that quickly enough for the Circuit to not have executed the command?? Why does it not create backups instead of waiting for its host to die? Do the hosts usually have enough power leftover to run the command even when they're dead?
