artists/albums similar to old boywithuke

By old Boywithuke I means, Melatonin/Fever/Serotonin Dreams, Trouvaille, Faded. I love every of his albums, but I kinda miss the feelings of the old ones. Their vibes are unforgettable

Just want to know if there're any albums/tracks that are similar. Bedroom pop, simple but emotional and relatable.

When do you consider artists as "indie"?

I'm Vietnamese. One of my fav local bands are Ngọt. They're said to be one of the most iconic indie band of Vietnamese indie. They have a lot of hits, many are even a lot more popular than mainstream generic songs. Their last album is alot more pop and easier to listen. One topic are usually brought up in their fanbase:

> Can the band be considered indie now?

The Beatles, The Smiths, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The Rare Occasions, etc They're all being considered indie, but at the same time they signed with very big labels, and their music are very popular worldwide. Indie and mainstream are often posed as opposition, or two complete different types, but really what are the boundaries between them?

What I understand is, indie artists are signed with small independent record labels. Mainstream music are considered very popular, preferred by the majority. Basically my point is, indie artists when they reached a certain point of fame can they really be considered indie anymore?

And the same can be said with underground music. When underground/indie audiences become the majority, can it be considered mainstream?

Foreign music recommendations

I've been weirdly interested in listening to music in foreign languages. They feel very different from English ones. It's kinda hard to explore more though.

Any genre is fine, but I personally prefer indie pop/rock, and pop punk
