What is the average IQ of a Maldivian?

Genuinely curious to know what the average IQ of Maldives is. I am told the same as somalis the average is 76-84.

This is considered disabled in civilised countries like UK.

Maldives and Israel similarities: Similar in more ways than you thought.

- Exclusive State Identity: Both ideologies anchor citizenship and national belonging strictly to a single, distinct identity group (defined by religious laws for Maldivian citizens and by ethnoreligious Jewish nationality under Israeli framework laws).

- Elimination of Legal Pluralism for Citizens>!:!< Neither system permits freedom of conscience or alternative religious practices for its core domestic populace, relying instead on state-backed religious or nationalist personal status laws.

- Separation of Populations (Enclaves and Dual Systems): Both manage internal ideological or religious purity by creating structural divides such as isolated resort and safari (Hulhumale') enclaves for pokitical elite and and non-citizens in the Maldives versus distinct civil, military, and religious legal jurisdictions within Israel.

- Geopolitical Insularity and Hyper-Sensitivity: Both societies exhibit an intense defensive posture against external criticism, international pressure, or media narratives that challenge their foundational state ideologies.

- Weaponization of Heritage: Both utilize historical narratives, ancient ties to the land or faith, and cultural preservation as supreme justifications for restricting internal dissent or modifying legal boundaries.

Basically intolerance and willful ignorance exhibited by the majority of the population in all matters. This can be observed under my previous post.

Nepali woman locked up in Maldives for posting on TikTok

Maldivian authorities have arrested a 44-year-old Nepalese national following the mistake of uploading a video showing her performing a religious ritual in a secluded space.

The incident came to the attention of the Maldives Police Service on July 25, 2026, after Maldivian public discovered the TikTok video she had unwittingly uploaded depicting the woman conducting a ritual near the bridge connecting Hulhumalé Phase I and Phase II.

This was treated as a serious and organised crime and the full force of the Maldivian police apparatus was unleashed to find this one woman who harmed nobody.

So make sure if you are vacationing or working in the Maldives to never upload photos and videos. The locals are still quite primitive and do not understand the concept of coexistence, respect and privacy.

Should decisions be made based on "feelings" or evidence?

I have been seeing tweets from this user for a while now, and its all about Mohamed Naseed and a crypto, which apparently he is promoting. But what I find weird is that, this user has no proof any of it being true or false. Its completely agnostic in terms of evidence.

Isn't it the responsibility of the accuser to find evidence to support their claim instead of making things up and spreading false information? Like the FBI notice has nothing to do with $CWU, yet included it for some reason?

Is this legitimate concern or anonymous user JS is taking a side in the MDP faction wars? Is this politically motivated?

Would make a lot of sense as many are informing JS maybe an affiliate of MP Azaan. What do you think?

The Maldivian government has effectively dismantled press freedom by centralizing media oversight under an executive-controlled commission, using vague "fake news" laws to criminalize dissent.

Central to this crackdown is the influence of Wahhabi-Salafist factions within the state, which weaponize Islamic theology to insulate the administration from accountability:

Political Shielding: Any criticism of the government or its leadership is frequently framed as an attack on "the basic tenets of Islam," rendering political satire or investigative reporting legally dangerous and socially taboo.

Arbitrary Censorship: Religious sensitivity is used as a catch-all justification to suppress content, bypass legal transparency, and justify the suspension of independent media outlets.

Normalization of Intimidation: By branding secular journalists and democratic advocates as enemies of the faith, the state fosters an environment where radicalized individuals feel emboldened to threaten and harass dissenting voices with impunity.

The regime utilizes a fundamentalist religious framework as a convenient mechanism to replace democratic scrutiny with state-mandated orthodoxy, ensuring that challenging the government is synonymous with committing heresy.
