Am I being rude by laughing a lot at other men's jokes and behavior when we hang out with my BF present?

Am I being rude by laughing a lot at other men's jokes and behavior when we hang out with my BF present?

I need some outside perspective, not sure if I'm being completely normal or completely inappropriate.

I enjoy laughing and tend to do it a lot when I'm enjoying myself. In my friendships, there also tends to be a lot of laughter and banter if the other person matches that vibe.

Whenever my boyfriend and I hang out with men (his friends or coworkers) he gets jealous and insecure if I laugh a lot at their jokes or behaviour.

I interact with him as much as I can and touch him lovingly throughout the night. But I also laugh with and joke with other guys who are there. I do the same with other girls whenever possible, that never bothers him.

We've had multiple discussions about this and he acknowledges that it's rooted in insecurity, which he has committed to working on.

But recently we went out with a mixed group and he commented that while I was laughing with the guy who was there, another girl kept looking at him and making weird faces. He thought she was pointing out that it was weird how much I was interacting with the other guy.

I generally feel socially awkward and introverted. I don't feel like I'm good with small talk but I try my best, especially when I don't really know anyone there. Any time there's someone being entertaining that I can laugh and joke with, I feel relieved not to be sitting there with a resting bitch face, looking bored. To me, that's rude and I've been criticized in the past by my guy friends for being too quiet and looking bored. But it seems I might be rude in a different way now? Maybe I overcorrected?

I need good advice, please help. Happy to provide more details if requested.

TL;DR I'm not sure if I'm laughing too much and paying too much attention to other men while my BF is there, to an extent that might be coming across as inappropriate.

How much progress is normal in a 4 hour session?

TL;DR is the answer almost nothing?

For a few weeks now, I've been sitting in on my cousin's campaign to see if it would be a good fit for me to join.

I'm used to one-shots, which obviously need to be a bit more action-packed to make it feel like the story happened and reached a resolution. And I have no experience with campaigns, so I was wondering... is it typical to get almost nothing done over a 4 hour session? My cousin thinks it is, but that's hard for me to imagine.

For example, last session they slept, found some items, explored an area, talked with a few people... and made no real progress. They talked for almost an hour about the best way to get something done, then went and did something else instead. Then they spent so long talking at that location they ran out of time to do the thing they went there for.

As a result, I've noticed a trend where they receive multiple questlines per in-story day but get sidetracked or run out of time and never follow through with them, often dropping old ones for one of the new ones. Even if they don't follow the new ones, they spend hours discussing them, asking questions of the DM, trying to figure out if NPCs are lying, etc.

They're at least a year into their campaign and everyone is level 7 with several very experienced players so it's not like they're just starting out. The DM is also experienced, she's been running games for about 15 years.

Is this a typical campaign experience? Am I missing anything or not considering something that I should?

If I'm finding this too slow, should I be looking for another table or stick to one-shots?
