Repeated C:13:01 error on FD-83

I made this post before, but I deleted it thinking I solved the problem. I did not, unfortunately.

I got a Sony MVC-FD83 about a week ago and ended up having a friend manually recharge the battery while I waited for a battery charger because I got impatient. It worked, for a couple seconds. The disk read and whatnot and I saw some old photos on it before I took a photo and it immediately died. The next time I turned it on, it errored on me when I tried to read or write to the disk. I used a recently acquired usb floppy disk reader and it read the disk just fine, although it took 3 tries to get the files read uncorrupted, which was unusual. I got fresh, sealed disks (which were the correct disks for Sony mavicas) and my battery charger arrived. I tried fresh disks and it still didn’t work. I tried formatting them and it also didn’t work. I tried cleaning the floppy drive heads with IPA and it also didn't work, but suddenly when I popped in a new disk, it magically took a photo just fine, but it also happened to be nearing the end of its battery life and died again shortly after the photo saved. I turned it on again, the photo was gone, and I took and saved another photo, but when I tried taking a second, it errored on me again. I popped the disk into the usb drive, and it came out blank. I’ve tried seemingly everything, and my research isn’t yielding any results. I don’t plan on scouring the internet for any other of the same model to use for parts, as I don’t wanna take any chances or anything.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this camera? Is this an alignment issue with the floppy disk drive? If so, how do I go through with fixing that? Help would be much appreciated.

(apologies for the essay btw, I just wanted to get this out in full detail)

MVC FD-83 repeated C:13:01 error

I recently got a Sony Mavica FD-83 and I had at first powered it on very briefly and it worked just fine. I had it in playback and it read an image off of the disk, but then while I went to take a photo the battery died. A couple days later I charged the battery up again and it showed me an error. I used a USB floppy drive to try and read the disk and it came out just fine. I have tried swapping disks and it still shows me the error. Could this be an issue with the magnetic head of the disk reader or is this something bigger?
