So while a FD-7 has a CR2025 as it's clock battery, I just got a FD85, but I can't find any separate clock battery on it. Does it just run off the main battery, and resets if the main battery is taken out? Or is there some trickery to it?

I do like how snappy the 85 is, writes and reads the floppy much faster than the FD7. The light prism for the LCD is a nice bonus too. Though, the 1.2mpx sensor is kinda "too good" quality? The video quality is hilariously chunky though. It just feels more like a modern device, than this goofy "prototype device" that the 1st gen Mavicas feel like. FD-7 has it's own charm to it.

Do I understand that floppy disks are old and do weird things? Yes. Does it make these photos any less creepy? Absolutely not.

I always wanted a Mavica, so when I saw this at a car boot sale this morning for £10, I had to buy it! Seems to be in perfect working condition.

I once said to u/spacedragon42 that Hugin was too good to capture the patchwork pano aesthetic. Well, when you're too lazy to perspective correct twenty-one images by hand, it's hard to beat. I was worried it would somehow miss the cool aesthetic of meandering around focal points, but as you can see, it still does the trick.

i was gonna replace the battery but it doesnt open, and that sucks cause that means my main battery is always gonna be trying to charge a fucked up battery and ill just be wasting charge forever, what can i do?

Not sure what the exact point of these flags were, being all set up along the roadside. Made for an interesting photo. A little harder to be patriotic this year, which is sad considering how monumental of a milestone 250 years is.

I really like the 8x zoom, but this camera has an issue finding proper white balance compared to my FD200

North Carolina. Also I have a small grey spot that's appeared in all my photos, not sure what it is or what to do about it. Can the sensors get dead pixels like modern cinema cameras do?
