Bought a SX-70 and took it to Iceland

Ive heard how notorious these cameras are if not properly serviced; and you guys were not lying! It felt like every picture I took the camera introduced a whole new issue. But when it works (or even when it kind of works) its an incredibly fun camera to use! Really love this thing and hopefully will get it professionally serviced someday, although I hear everyone doing the servicing is backlogged up right now.

Also, I have no idea how that last shot came out like that, lol.

First time shooting Super8 - what happened?

The first 20 seconds seemed to come out just fine, but after that the entire cartridge is black. Shot using a Canon Autozoom 814 Electronic. The shutter seems to be working currently, and the motor on the advance as well. Not sure what could have caused this; any ideas?

Minotla Hi-Matic AF2 - Shot counter stuck at S

Has anyone else with this camera encountered this issue? The film is advancing just fine; but the shot counter doesn’t, door open or not. Ive tried to press in the pin on the backdoor and sometimes, I can get one shot to advance, then it freezes again. Normally this wouldn’t be a large issue; but the shot counter needs to be advanced thrice until it reaches 1; and only then can the shutter button be depressed with the door closed, so I cant take any photos. Not really sure what to do; any advice?

Anywhere to buy super8 film?

Hello! Im spending a week in Iceland very soon, and I’m looking to shoot some super8 film while i’m there. Does anyone know if it’s possible to buy any in Reykjavik? I see theres a lot of stores that sell 35mm film; but I cannot see super8 listed on their stocks online. Any advice?
