Hey all, I'm looking for a check and any advice on Shinkansen travel and tickets.

Friday October 9th (10/09/2026) travel from Tokyo to Hiroshima, want to travel Green Car if that matters.

For my travels I'm visiting Hiroshima, Miyajima, Ōkunoshima, Osaka and Nara 10/13/2026.

1. Does anyone have concern with the 5 day Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass (17000¥)? I will buy a ticket for Tokyo-Osaka individually.

2. Will I have to depart the Shinkansen at Osaka to then use the Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass (if I purchase the Area Pass in advance)?

3. Can I somehow manage to stay on the Shinkansen at Osaka and continue to Hiroshima without departing the train?

4. For the dates and travel, would buying tickets on the day/time be risky? Many here say it's normally ok to do.
