I have no doubt that perhaps during their entire journey, Ruby and Jaune had moments to at least relax with some games or challenges to entertain themselves. Although there's no doubt that Nora also participated in that as well.

I’m just curious about this. I won’t go into too much details on which ones I like but bonus points to whoever guesses my favorite of the 4 first lol. Anyway I wanted to ask this question sooner but I decided to wait until I finished volume 6. Now as far as I’m aware, these are the 4 most popular ships that has Ruby involved.

Also bonus question for the Lancaster shippers only: Why do you ship them together? And I’m asking y’all specifically because a month ago I asked which Jaune ship was your favorite between WhiteKnight and Arkos. And several y’all said Lancaster (I didn’t know what that meant at the time until someone told me) and someone in the comments suggested I make a post asking why y’all like/love this pairing lol.

This is an old fanart of mine. In this scenario, Ruby represents Salem and Jaune represents Tyrian.

I’m curious to know your opinions on who their opposing villains could be. It could be the ones mentioned, or perhaps other antagonists (like Cinder).

My poetic interpretation would be:

Ruby is a Pawn trying to become a Queen while carrying the burden of a King.

Jaune is a Rook carrying the conscience of a Bishop while carrying the burden of a King.

How would you represent their characteristics with chess pieces? Or perhaps you could show some of their differences or add a corrected version. I'd be eager to read your thoughts.

This is the first time I've drawn them like this, with such an intimate approach.

Since the series began, I've seen their relationship as something tender, a very close and healthy friendship. Then each of them went through their own journeys of trauma, lows, and acceptance, which ultimately also helped strengthen their bond.

I consider that one of the reasons I appreciate their relationship. I hope I've been able to convey that in this drawing. If not… well, at least I tried.

I would have loved to see Ruby and Jaune dance that day at the party…

But I do know who did dance that day with a certain chemistry 🌝🌚.

Even as the years pulled them in different directions and chiseled them into completely different people, that core bond remained entirely untouched by the friction of time.

It’s that rare connection where the heavy armor you wear for the world just evaporates, making even the deepest sorrows feel suddenly manageable.
