I’m 20 and haven’t gotten my license yet I have no friends and my mom doesn’t want to teach me cause she says “i don’t have the patience for that” so I’m kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. I would love to elaborate more on what my mom means by that but I don’t know what to ask.
And I’m not talking about major cities like Chicago, NYC or Philly. My boyfriend even asked this, he’s white and lives in rural Pennsylvania like 3 and half hours from NYC. I have lived in the south majority of my entire life and I visited him there last year in July for his birthday. I even posted on a throw away account about why everyone in my family was freaking out and I later learned it was mainly just because it was my first solo trip and they were being overprotective. But when I posted to this sub everyone started saying they thought I was gonna die or something like that. I guess what I’m asking is if the locations were flipped like I lived in Detroit and I said I was going to visit him in a rural area in like Alabama what would people say then?
