Has Ralph Lauren Polo shirt quality changed over the last 25 years? I have multiple polo shirts that I have had for 25 years or more and probably washed and wore hundreds of times and the color and integrity has held up. They are only now starting to show wear, and I am looking to buy replacements. Needless to say, the quality was excellent.

Are these shirts still made to this quality level?

I am trying to decide if I should buy a bunch of these polos in different colors to replace my older ones or if I should tread more cautiously. I know a lot of stuff “just ain’t made like it used to be.”

I see how I can make color changes / paint parts, but I can only do one part at a time. I have 30+ parts on one plate. I want to do a filament color changes once the print reaches a certain layer height that is the same across all the parts. Is there an easy way I can do this, or do I have to update each part individually??

I have a Q2 printer with box that I bought a month or so ago. I printed multiple items in PLA with great results. I then printed a few items in ABS with great results. I went back and tried to print something in PLA again and it completely failed. I started the print and then went to bed. I woke up to found a big glob of PLA from what was the full print job built up around the extruder. I spent some time cleaning it. I removed the extruder and the hot end and clean out all the green PLA that was present. Note: I did not remove the nozzle from the hot end assembly. Now, every time I try to reprint in PLA, the part is failing early on in the base layers. There is clumped filament in the base layers that starts catching on the nozzles that then starts getting dragged around, and then it escalates from there. Fortunately, I have been watching it print now and have stopped it before it got too out of hand. What is wrong???

I made a separate post in this sub about the problems I have been having using this unit. I am wondering if there is something defective with this new product or at least the versions sold through Amazon where I purchased mine. Maybe they have some old firmware or something. I wanted to poll this sub to see if anyone has had success with this new product using the PC version of the software and if they purchased it direct from Revopoint or through Amazon.

I bought a MetroY Ultra scanner over a week ago. I have received extremely poor scan results and overall instability during the scans since day 1. It completely doesn’t work in High Quality mode and in the High Speed mode it struggles with tracking and creating a usable scan. I have been emailing the company since Day 1. I have sent multiple log files to Revopoint and have received very limited communication from them.

The example scans on the website look good and some video reviews of the product were very positive.

I first used the scanner with my two year old laptop which still tested “Excellent” in the Revopoint hardware benchmark test. This laptop was only equipped with a RTX 3050 GPU.

I have since tested the scanner with a new computer with Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX 48GB RAM and RTX 5070Ti, and I’m getting the same poor results.

I have tested every scan mode with multiple objects. I purchased the Revopoint marker block kit and have had plenty of markers.

What gives? I am starting to think this company is a scam and the positive reviews are fake. I spent over $2,000 on this stuff and they are totally not supporting me.

I am adding some pictures to clarify my situation.

Picture 1 - When I go through calibration, I get this error every time on the first step. I am not doing anything wrong. It is very easy to to move the scanner to the requested orientation. Anyone who has played Duck Hunt can do this.

Picture 2 - This is what happens in High Quality mode in every Scan Mode. Absolutely nothing is picked up by the scanner. In High Speed mode, it actually detects something but the quality is very poor.

I noticed that the Revo Metro 5.8.6 software (the current software) was just released 4-16-2026 and this was the first version to super the new MetroY Ultra that I have. Has anyone had success using a MetroY Ultra with PC? All the reviews I have read on this product on Amazon are promotional reviews. The Youtube videos showing the impressive performance are with MacOS.

Another piece of information, I purchased my scanner from Amazon. I wonder if there is something wrong with the early units sold through Amazon.

******Update 2****

Here are some additional photos of attempted scans in different modes. I tried a few a few different configurations with trying to scan a small metal part both on the turntable and also just sitting on a table. I actually used black felt paper to line the scan area. This should minimize the interference of stray light reflections back to the scanner. I also included a screenshot of what I typically see as far as CPU and GPU usage during my scans. The program uses minimal resources. I have also done some checks of the logs the Revopoint software creates every time you use it. There are literally hundreds of errors being registered with frame drop-outs and errors in loading the GPU pipeline (even though the GPU is hardly being use). There is a GPU utilization log I included in the comments section if anyone is interesting in seeing the GPU demand over time. The reason I bring this up is because I think the problems may be rooted in the software/firmware.

Once again, High Quality mode completely failed to detect anything and I had issues with High Speed mode creating anything usable. The best results of the day came from the Full Field scan. The scan items became blue in the scan, indicating enough frames have been captured; however, you can see the level of detail generated.

Revopoint lists the minimum video card requirement as being NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 8GB or better. The problem is my laptop has the NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3050 6GB soldered in, and I can’t upgrade without just getting a new computer which I don’t want to do. Below are the other specs on my laptop.

Intel® Core™ i9-13900H Processor 2.6 GHz (24MB Cache, up to 5.4 GHz, 14 cores, 20 Threads)
40GB RAM

I am interested in buying a MetroY Ultra.

If I try to use one of these scanners on my computer, will it crash and be unstable or just run a little slower?

Has anyone tried running these scanners with a lower spec video card?
