Why do I feel my TD mortgage advisor is not working in my best interest ?

Long story short, I am renewing a mortgage this month as my term is up. I wanted to borrow some additional funds of 15K-20K. I have seen that TD advertises both the refinance Cash Out option + Heloc Line of credit.

I have mentioned at the start that I want the Cash out option and wanted to know all about how it will work, etc. The agent was very informative but right away told me it’s the exact same thing and started to steer me toward Heloc. He seems determined that Heloc is the way and said there is no 2 options just Heloc. I do not want Heloc for many reasons. It’s not a fit for my need or family. Just wanted a lump sum cash out. I feel like there might be some incentive towered the Heloc ? I called TD next day and on the phone the agents (again) after some pushback from end confirmed that Cash out is an option….but normally it’s not what is advised.

Can someone clarify of my TD mortgage agent (I visited my branch in person) is being honest or is pushing a loan on me I do not want ?

Sitting in Row 1 of Section 225 or similar. Does the metal fence block your view while sitting ?

Or is it short enough to not obstruct the view ? Thank you to anyone who has sat there and can confirm.

How safe is to ride the metro in Rio between sunset and 8 pm ?

Hello. I will be staying in the touristy part of Copacabana, few minutes walking from a metro station. I will be commuting between Copa and Centro during the day using the metro but some days, I may wish to stay longer and return after sunset (which around 530 pm). I am not interested in coming back later than 8 pm or partying into the night. But might want to catch dinner sometimes in Centro. I heard that I should not be in Centro or use the metro after sunset. But is this really true ? Is there no rush hour around that time ? Which metro station in Centro is safest ? Thank you 🙏🙏
