i'm writing this because I've now seen a lot of people reporting the exact same thing. I feel like we're all dealing with it separately and we need to address the problem.

on july 31, my account location was suddenly changed to Russian Federation, even though I live in Germany. ofc i lost access to chat and vc. my account was in Germany for months. nothing significant changed on my end, yet overnight my account location was changed. then I started searching on reddit and i realized im not alone at this.

i've seen people saying: their account changed from Finland to Russia, Germany to Russia, Czech Republic to Russia and even people who say they've never even been to Russia, yet their account now says Russian Federation. almost everyone says the same thing happened around July 31, and everyone lost chat or voice chat immediately afterwards.

support keeps sending the same automated response saying account location is detected automatically and cannot be changed manually. the problem is that many of us aren't asking for a manual change we're saying the automatic detection appears to be incorrect.

so i'd really like to know how widespread this is.
