Does someone who's been following seasons for longer than me know when Cranberry Cup tickets usually go on sale? According to SCB the event is less than a month out but there's no other information up yet. I'm local and I'd love to go to some of it if I can.

Weirdly none of the sites I looked at can agree on the dates. ISU says August 6-9 but SCB page says 3-9, and Golden Skate and Wikipedia says 5-9. I think the ISU page may only have the dates for the senior competition and not the juniors.

If you could design a program, what song would you love to see someone do, and which skaters?

For a short, I'd love to see anyone skate to Vienna Teng - I think Amber Glenn skating to "Stray Italian Greyhound" would be sublime, and Alysa Liu with "Never Look Away" would be joyous.

For the free, I know there have been Star Wars routines, but I'd want to do a medley of the opening theme and "Binary Suns" or a mainly "Dual of the Fates" theme. Not sure who I'd have do the first, but "Dual" would be interesting as a pairs skate (but maybe an exhibition, then you could have actual lightsabers).

Maybe Lara Naki Gutman could stick with a theme and do a Jurassic Park routine.

Alternatively, give Jason Brown a Lord of the Rings medley. I've seen LotR routines, but none that captivated me, and I'd like a full instrumental one that doesn't use one of the Enya tracks.

I've seen Ozkan's Red Right Hand short program, but I really want someone to do it for a long program and with a costume that actually has some sort of red glove/arm design to play into the theme.

I'm only up to date on the last couple seasons, so if anyone has done ideas like what I've mentioned please link me to some videos!

Is anyone else just not able to successfully download from AO3 anymore? I imported a ton of fic successfully when I first set up Calibre, but lately it's just not working. I get 525 errors no matter what I do.

I've tried everything here.

Inspired by everyone going "Oh god, not Bolero again" about next season's plans, what music pieces would you like a respite from?

In my view there are timeless classical pieces that have been used so many times over years that they get tired, such as:

• Bolero
• Four Seasons
• Firebird

And there are contemporary songs/soundtracks that get heavily used in a short period so they get overplayed; right now to me some of those are:

• Dune
• Lion King
• Gladiator
• Titanic
• Rocket Man (various medleys)

Not to say that there can't be exceptional new routines to these songs, but I think the bar is much higher! Some of these also have iconic performances associated with them, which gives new interpretations an added burden.
