Anyone know the difference between the $120 and $40 crank position sensors on Z1?
Im trying to resolve a p0335 code and trying to find the upgraded metal probe OEM sensor. Z1 has 2. both look identical and both say they’re OEM. The $120 one has a part number 23731-EA20D, but I can’t find a part number for the $40 one. Anyone know what the difference is?
I spent 2 days running through the ECM and IPDM circuit and reading the FSM schematics trying to track down a no crank/no start/no CAN communication problem after doing an engine swap. Turns out this little wire was the grounding point for the ECM main harness. Bolted it in and voila all ymy problems were gone. Just a PSA to check this if you ever get those symptoms as it’s a pretty flimsy wire and easily broken. I looked across xterra, pathfinder, frontier, and general Nissan forums looking for this answer and nobody had posted about it.
Recently completed an engine swap and have had some troubles since getting everything put back together, but I believe they’re linked to the same problem.
The main problem is that the interior fuse box is not getting voltage. I had to wire a push button to the starter in order to bypass the starter signal circuit because I was initially getting a no crank no start. Once I got the push button in, she fired right up, but I had both the 4wd light and serivice engine light on.
I hooked up my obd2 and couldn’t get it to connect so I started checking fuses with a multimeter. I got a beep on all the engine bay fuses, but the whole box is dead on the inside. Which would explain both the obd2 and starter signal circuit, but I can’t figure what’s stopping the voltage from coming in.
Do you guys have any recommendations on where I should be looking first?
