Anyone know of any boat launch or places to legally put a kayak in the water with parking? I saw that anyone can apply for an overnight causeway storage license. I was hoping to do some night fishing and I am kind of at a loss to where to launch at. I have a hobie kayak and a small trailer that I tow it on.
Was hoping anyone with some experience in the area is willing to share some decent kayak fishing spots or places to launch primarily on the Gulf side of the st pete FL area. I live a bit north towards clearwater. I know the dunedin causeway is a decent beach launch but dont know the area really well to have any kind of regular areas to go fish at. Ideally I'm looking for spots to get redfish/spotted sea trout/snook or anything else i can take home to eat. Currently fishing with a hobie outback and a mirage drive with a couple rods. fine with getting bait or lure fishing.
I am more used to offshore fishing in my fathers 23ft striper fishing boat in northern california and this is a pretty big shift. Thanks for any guidance
