Need advice: cute styles or hair cut for fine natural hair and a long/round face
Hello! I need help/advice for what to do with my hair. I have fine natural hair and it’s killing me right now. it’s looking extra fine and see-through (see last 5 pics) and especially in the back. my hair is sitting near waist length and I am growing it to waist length until July when I will get it straightened and trimmed. after that Im thinking I might want to cut it as I think the length might be making it look worse. I’m willing to hear any advice- any cute hair cuts, styles, etc that might work for me? *** I also have a big face so I feel like bigger hair looks better on me than flat-sitting hair (which ofc is harder to achieve because of my fine hair). I’m going to show lots of hairstyles I’ve tried/how my hair is looking now. thank you!
TWISTS: (how I have my hair most of the time)
1-last year mini twists on blow-dry stretched hair
2-last year blow dry stretched hair (before putting in twists)
3-last year mini twists in updo style (not flattering due to big face 😂
4- last year twists
5-this year twists (they normally look like this (not full) if I wear them down/out 😞
WASH-N-GOs:
6-last year wash-n-go that I actually liked with 2 twists in front
7&8: last year wash n go with miche tropical oasis gel (looks super flat bc of the strong hold
9-last year wash n go with front pieces Bobby pinned back
10-last year wash n go with 2 twists in front
11&12: last year failed flexi rod set
13: last year - not amazing but best roller set I’ve ever achieved

14: 4 years ago- big wash n go/twist out that I really liked (lived in a humid place so my hair would get/look bigger
15: this year twist out on blow dried hair (I’d really like the look of this style if I had more hair I think)
CURRENT SITUATION 😕
16: this year twist out (my twist outs pretty much always come out looking like this these days 🤷♀️ (usually after 5 days of wearing it in twists)
17&18: wash n gos where I used a hooded dryer then blow dried to try to stretch/make the hair bigger… looks suppperrrr see through
19: wash n go a couple of days ago with just the doux mousse and some jojoba oil AIR DRIED (which I used to day years ago but now use hooded dryer or blow dryer)
20: twists in a bun (this is how I look/wear my hair most of the time as I’ve been growing it)
I’ve been growing it for almost 3 years to try to prove to myself I think that it was possible to grow longer hair and I’ve almost achieved my goal. I do like the idea of having longer hair but if I can’t really do anything with it besides maybe wear it straight idk what the point is. What style (or cut 👀) should I go for (I’m maybe thinking about trying to lean more feminine looking OR weirder-looking styles (ex. I recently saw a girl with natural hair with a jellyfish cut and loved it)). ANY ADVICE is greatly appreciated! Sorry for so much text/images 😊
